At first thought was too small however after placing on the shelf it was the perfect size.e bought this for our Christmas decorations.Omg this is absolutely the cutest thing ever!! I ordered it for someone for Christmas but had to take it out to make sure it wasn’t broken. Its not its perfect. I fell in love, it is just adorable!! Told my boyfriend I want one now.This is a very cute decoration for the holidays, especially for dog lovers. The width of the characters is wide enough so they don’t fall over very easily. Also comes with an extra different color scarf if you feel like changing it. Well made, perfect for a mantle.We love this "statue" or decor piece. It looks great and is very cute.Build Quality:The wood appears to be a dense wood possibly a light oak?. similar to a butcher block. There is one joint about 1/2 up each piece but it is not noticeable. The wood is cut very cleanly and not sanded on the corner give a more modern look. The flat front is very smooth but the edges (curved cut) aren't. You can feel some texture from the grain and see a few tool marks if you real close. I don't think that makes this piece bad I am just making observations. The cuts are very clean, there is no extra debris or big missing chunks of wood etc.Sturdy:The pieces are sturdy and did not break under a mild force test.Extra details:There are extra scarves so that you can have everyone match or have just two match in color.Viewable from both sidesThe dog ears are glued on and ad a 3rd dimension. The mouths are scribed on both sides so you can reverse the statue or view from both sides.Final thoughts:These are very cute and well made, we enjoy ours and recommend them.When I opened this thing, it made me smile. It comes in a nice, padded box perfect for gift-giving that is well protected. It was flawlessly crafted. A highly recommended gift for any dog lover or for yourself!The set came with a little bonus! A third red and white scarf! So if you don't like that the girl and the dog are wearing the same colors, you can switch it easily. Once winter has passed, you can I remove the scarves all together, and then this would be a year-round statue. It seems well made and looks just like it does in the pictures! Couldn't be happier with this find!!!This little wood sculpture couldn't be cuter! We are redoing our tween's bedroom in natural wood and macrame. These little guys were the perfect addition.
